Dead SnowDead Snow (21/01/12)

A ski vacation turns horrific for a group of medical students, as they find themselves confronted by an unimaginable menace: Nazi zombies.

You have to know when you’re sitting down to watch a film about Nazi zombies, nothing can be taken too seriously and what you’re about to see comes under the heading of ridiculous.

Dead Snow is exactly that. It’s not the best zombie horror film out there, but it’s a lot of fun to watch. It does get pretty damn gory, but it’s that funny and over the top kind of gory. The characters aren’t the smartest in the bunch. Plot holes do show up throughout. But you’re not meant to question them. In the sense that you’re meant to know this is a film that should be taken as is.

I had fun watching it. I laughed quite a lot. I’m thinking I need to find some more Norwegian horrors – they seem to have their own sense of humor attached to them.
Rating: 3/5

  1. Nazi zombies?! And here i was thinking there was thinking the zombie genre was fresh out of original ideas!

Glad you had fun with it. I dont think it was great or anything, but it was funny, and had a lot of gross out humor that worked.

    3/5 is right on.

    • Nope, definitely not an amazing film by any stretch but yes, a lot of gross fun. Ahh something we can agree on!

  3. Glad you liked it but you only have to mention Nazi zombies and I’m going to watch this! Thanks for the heads up Jaina 😀

  4. haha. I keep seeing this one on netflix and just laugh at the thought as I skip over it onto another film. When I’m in the mood to see some Nazi zombies get destroyed, then I will be sure to press play on this one! Thanks for the fun review!

Your list is growing and growing!

  5. Haha, this is definitely a fun horror movie. I watched it based on the Nazi zombies concept, as I’m sure most will, and it didn’t disappoint. Not anything groundbreaking, but an entertaining ride nonetheless.

    • Same as me pretty much. And my brother kept telling me it’s a fun little Scandinavian film. He wasn’t wrong!
