Reconnecting with a friend

Writing your first blog post after an unexpected and unplanned hiatus is not unlike reconnecting with a friend who you haven’t seen in a long time. Do you play catch-up, filling in all the details of the time gone by? Or jump straight into something new and important that you can’t wait to share? Perhaps play awkward and will the awkward silence to be filled magically by something or someone else.

Hello awkward silence.

It’s not that I don’t know where to begin. It’s that I don’t know if there’s any point to begin right there. The past four months have probably been some of the most eventful few months I’ve experienced in a while. Four months in which I travelled to four different countries, lost a job, maintained a constant state of panic (not for the full four months though), found my feet, landed my dream job, and a few other things along the way.

Attempting to reconnect has always been hard for me. There’s that concern–what if there’s no longer any connection there to reconnect. Perhaps that’s why I’ve been quiet for so long, on this blog.

This is me, trying to reconnect. Let’s see if this works.

  1. I’m actually in a similar boat and trying to re-start the blog. It’s been a lot of fun! Glad to see that you’re back and hoping to read more soon.

  2. Congratulations on finding your feet again both in the blogging world and in the career realm of life 🙂 Excited to see your posts pop up in my feed again whenever you feel like throwing one out there.

    Take care!

  3. I’m glad you did. I was wondering when and if you’d return. I need to put you back in my reader because somehow you’ve stopped showing up.

Well, it sounds like you’ve been off having adventures. I see you’ve written a couple more posts. Time to catch up! Welcome back, xxoo
