Day 232 Working through the pain of gastroenteritis with a trip to the gym. Surprisingly, it worked.
Day 236 P is for Pie.
Day 237 Indian chai is getting subbed in for my usual morning coffee. Healthier, right? Maybe. Not.
Day 238 The kitchen’s an important space in our home. We spend a lot of time in there. All of our own doing! I just wish we had a gas stove instead of this useless electric crap. I’m almost getting to grips with cooking on it. Almost.
Day 239 Just hanging out on the balcony, what with the weather having cooled down sufficiently, where it’s not suffocatingly humid in the evenings now.
Day 240 I did one of these at our old place, so figured, needed to do one at the new. Not nearly as interesting sadly.
Day 241 I give you a hella creepy art something or other. Including semi-detached left arm.
Day 242 It’s another Saffron breakfast. Hands-down my favourite place to eat out in Bahrain. Great coffee, amazing breakfast with bread, beans, eggs, all so good!
Day 244 Bills, bills bills. Keeping track of finances like some sort of grown up.
Day 245 Just a blah day with a bit of a blah photo.
Day 247 Apologies, the last few days haven’t been all that exciting.
Day 248 There is a lot of cool art dotted around Adliya. Here’s a big ol’ mural on the side of a building.
Day 249 Sausages, mash and gravy. Wine not pictured. One of my favourite home made meals.
Day 251 Packing again! Though, I’m not going this time :(
Day 253 Just my Vans.
Day 254 Watching the jet skiers and speed boat owners enjoy the start of their weekend.
Day 255 Now this is what you call a menu.
Day 256 Sunset hits the buildings just across from us almost perfectly.
Day 257 I’m reading an actual book now. Made of paper. A physical book. It’s been a while.
Day 259 It’s that elusive creature, the Bahraini cloud! (Yep, think my lens needs a clean…)
Day 260 Really enjoy having the gym to myself. Usually every Thursday night, there’s not a soul in here.
Day 261 Bit of an adventure on Friday night while looking for a place called “Box It” for dinner. Found it!
Oh hey, November – you’re here already? I wasn’t expecting you so soon. See, I thought October might have been a bit longer. Well, as long as you’re here, stick around, won’t you.
The weather has finally started cooling down! The couple of weeks in October were lovely. Sure, it’s still in the low 30s during the day. But the evenings have been lovely. Nothing better than sitting on the balcony with a couple of beers, chatting the night away.
If you asked me this time last year whether Bahrain would have been a holiday destination of mine. Twice. Before 2013 was out, there would have been one heck of a confused look on my face. And yet here I am. It’s the beginning of 2014 and I managed to squeeze in two trips to the little Middle Eastern island that is Bahrain between September and the end of the year. And they were both fantastic trips.
