January’s Alphabet Soup – Done!

2012 Photography Project

Here I thought the alphabet soup challenge would be a relatively easy way to ease myself back into a 365 project. There’s only 26 letters in the alphabet but it’s deceptively hard to find things that represent each letter. Or maybe it’s just me!

So here’s my effort for the month.

B-Bird Of Prey

C-Cody

D-Danbo

E-Existence

F-Firey

G-Green Fingers

H-Holiday

I-Icy Cold

J-Jewels

K-Kickstart

L-lenses

N-Nikon

O-Organised

P-Pie

Q-Queen

R-Rain

S-Slumber

T-Traffic

U-Unbearable

V-Viking

W-Windsor

Y-Yellow

So yes. I missed out three letters – M, X and Z. Must try harder!

Now that it’s February I’m onto the next theme – the rainbow theme. Each week will be a different colour from the rainbow. I’ll be starting with red, then yellow, green and finally blue. I’m really not confidant about yellow!

Very nice set. I like it.
I’m looking forward to start next theme tomorrow. I’ll follow your color themes too.

  2. Nice selection of pics Jaina. My wife would enjoy that you have Tanqueray and tonic available in your bar. What are you using to take these pics with?

    • I always have to have Tanqueray and tonic in my drinks cabinet. It’s my drink of choice!

I’m using my Nikon D5000. Almost exclusively use my 35mm lens with it.

  3. Absolutely love K – Kickstart, which i need right now 😛

Fantastic results for the challenge, Jaina! I especially love the Windsor one – wonderfully composed and the splash of blue in the form of the house poking out from behind the castle makes the whole scene quite special 🙂

    • Thank you 😀 I think that’s one of my favourite shots. I’d love to spend more time wandering around Windsor and taking photos. It’s a nice little place.

  4. D’awww! The little android people are so cute! Beautiful images. Especially like the perspective you used when capturing the car door handle, the car’s side windows, the concaves of the pie there. Key focal detail. Love it!

    • I love going in for a shallow depth of field. It’s something I’m trying to stop myself doing (it’s a fallback for me these days) but on some things, I think it’s just the right thing to do.

Thanks for the lovely comments 😀
