Spur of the moment baking done today. Very spur of the moment. Mostly because I looked at my fruit bowl and all I saw were lemons. You know what they say, when someone gives you lemons, make a lemon drizzle cake.
Sad that it sank drastically in the middle. My fault for opening the oven one too many times. Literally, one too many. Oh well, tastes pretty good!

How many times did you open the oven? Apparently, slamming the oven door can also have an affect on the rise. Either way, this looks heavenly. I take it there’s none left over? 😉
About 3 times. I couldn’t see the top and didn’t have a definite stopping time.
No leftovers. Now…!
Looks good. I’ll have some. I need to restock on flour and butter in order to bake anything. I’m thinking sugar cookies.
