It says something when merely looking at an image can take you back to that moment. The sounds, smells, and terror. Terror is perhaps too strong. But it’s close.

Walking aimlessly around Ho Chi Minh City just as commuters were heading home and suddenly we were surrounded. A swarm of bikes enveloped us as we tried to walk on the pavement. Trapped in a bus stop there was only one thing for us to do. Take a deep breath and just walk across the road to the calmer side of the street.

Which we did without losing life nor limb. The bikers found a way to flow around a couple of hapless tourists to their city.
