Hands down, Beirut has the most beautiful building facades I’ve seen. They’re a mishmash of old, new, high-rise, offices, apartments. Balconies overflowing with all sorts. Not to mention actual palm trees growing off of balconies and rooftops many, many floors above the ground floor.
And there’s so much care in each of these balconies. No matter how old the building looked. You knew someone was tending to their personal space with such care.
