Blue skies dominate Bahrain almost every single day. Though some days they’re less than blue thanks to a haze of sand and dust. Regardless, I’ve become used to seeing sun and blue skies every day. But, that doesn’t make them any less beautiful.

I can honestly say that seeing the sun and blue skies has had a positive effect on me. Especially as I work from home every day. Just being able to either look outside or take five on the balcony and have the sun on my face can put me in a better mood if I’m having a bad day. Even when it’s hotter than the surface of the sun!

Strangely, what I have come to appreciate are those days when there is a cloud or two in the sky. On those days you’ll see me looking up at the sky, pointing and exclaiming, “Look, a cloud!” like a child.
