March started off fantastically. Nearly two weeks out of the country, on holiday. First, a few days in India for a fantastic wedding. Followed by a few days in Bahrain with the OH. The rest of March really couldn’t compare.
Day 59 Room w/a view.
Day 60 Wedding festivities are well underway.
Day 61 The happy day!
Day 62 And it all went far too quickly. Already the last night π
Day 63 After a few busy, eventful days, it’s nice to be home with a cup of coffee and some dark chocolate Hobnobs.
Day 64 Breakfast at Saffron. My favourite.
Day 65 Friday evening mayhem at the Souk in Bahrain.
Day 66 Eventful day leads to us looking around at potential car replacements. (We had a bit of a prang!) This is just an unrealistic pipe dream, but … we’re allowed those.
Day 67 Last day in Bahrain, but it was perfect. Go-karting!
Day 68 On my way back to England. Big ol’ sadface.
Day 69 And all of a sudden, it’s back to the day-to-day routine. The holiday feels like such a long time ago.
Day 70 It appears, since I’ve been away, Spring has arrived in England.
Day 71 Lunch and a wander.
Day 72 I’m usually pretty good with the unpacking. Not this time. 1 week later and I’ve finally knuckled down and unpacked.
Day 73 Lunch and a stroll in Windsor. Could get used to this Spring malarkey weather.
Day 74 Really very pretty sky in the evening.
Day 75 Just out at lunch.
Day 78 The view from the office fire escape…
Day 80 Cook something you’ve never cooked with before, he said. So I did. Cavalo nero being that thing I’ve never cooked with before. And funnily enough, here’s a minestrone soup – something i’ve never cooked before either!
Day 81 All of a sudden, there was Yoshi.
Day 82 A little bit of spring colour.
Day 83 Ahh… suburbia!
Day 84 Enjoying a bit of old man Port.
Day 85 Dear Chucks, why do you hate me so?
Day 86 Time thievery occurring!
Day 87 What can I say? I forgot.
Fairly pleased with my first 3 months of Project 365. Though, definitely skipped more days in March. It couldn’t be helped. Well, no it could. I’m just making excuses.
Cool white car and even cooler way to showcase your photos!
Ha! Thanks Lisa. Can’t take credit. It’s WordPress doing all the magic π
I really love travelling through you. The wedding pics look stunning, you really look amazing in Indian clothes Jaina! I love the more intimate shotsof your other half drinking tea, the people on the train etc. You find beauty in the every day.
Aww, thanks Humaira π This comment has given me the lift to get a bit more ‘on it’ with my 365, been missing one too many days!
Some great images Jaina. Trying to pick out a favourite and I think the commuters on the train stands out for me – love the black and white with the sense of motion created by the blur through the window. The fact that they are all locked into their smartphones almost feels staged (by Samsung mobile or someone) but is actually evidence of modern day life today. Great stuff! π
…the pic of the vapour trails in the sky is also great…you don’t often see so many, so clearly.
Wow, those pictures are beautiful! And I’m so jealous you got to go to Bahrain it looks great!
Bahrain is a funny little place! In a good way π
You’re in India? So exciting! Love the pictures!
I was! Only for a few days. Wish I could have stayed longer.
Sounds like you enjoyed the wedding and trip to Bahrain! Nice pictures, you look happy on them :)) My favorite is the top image, is it an outdoor swimming pool, or a park area?
That’s actually a lake! Well, a mini lake. The resort’s hotel rooms and mini-bungalows circled this fairly large body of water. A little piece of paradise.
What a busy month! Loads of cool photos to remember it by.
