From another planet

Wouldn’t you think these a little strange if you found them growing in your garden? More so, if after 7 years of living in the same place, this is the first time you’ve seen them.

I wish I knew the name of the plant that created this. These are the seeds. I’ve been watching them since I first saw these things pop up. They started out green and I thought that was it. Then they turned red overnight.

Adds a nice bit of colour in amongst the erm, weeds I’ve got growing everywhere.

  1. Looks like berry clusters of Arisaema triphyllum. Have you see it growing in your garden? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arisaema_triphyllum

  2. They are without doubt Lords and Ladies: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arum_maculatum
They are a very common woodland wildflower and they are also a prolific weed in my garden. I like them though. Super shot. It really zings.

  3. Beautiful red beauties!! Haha, that’s redundant ;) . I also find little things here and there even though I’ve probably seen them a million times. That’s kinda what I love about photography!
