I’ve been living on my own for most of this year and yet there’s still something I can’t quite manage.
Right now I have a huge saucepan full of soup and half a casserole dish left of apple crumble purely because I am absolutely incapable of cooking for one. It will take me days to finish off both. Well, it’s taken me 3 days to get to this point with the crumble. I just find it harder to cook for one. Whenever I try I get the quantities completely and utterly wrong.
Well, I’m never going to be short of left overs, that’s for sure!
I’m on my way to eat your food!
My fridge is overflowing. It’s ridiculous!
Apple crumble? How did you know that’s what I wanted for Xmas? You better send that this way, girl, Fedex! π
I shall attempt to Fedex it! The good thing about crumble is that it travels well π
At least, if there is a zombie apocalypse, we will know whose house we will raid for food! π
I am fully prepared for the zombie apocalypse – though please don’t raid my house – everyone’s invited!
We have this problem and there are three of us in the flat.
I think maybe the minimum number of people I can successfully cook for is 4. Anything less than that and I cook for about 10 people.
If I’m making something from scratch, I always end up with multiple portions that I then freeze and consider my ‘lazy day ready meals’.
That said, waste not want not, so when can I relieve you of your foody leftovers? I’ll happily be a human dustbin for the yumness that is Apple Crumble any day!
My freezer is chock full of those. And … a few packs of doughballs. Shh!
Doughballs! Party at Jaina’s π
