RIP Harold Ramis
Caddyshack, Groundhog Day and Ghostbusters are what I will remember Harold Ramis for. But mostly Egon from Ghostbusters. Sad day.

Aaaah… what a sad day!! LOVE Ghostbusters and Groundhog Day, esp. the latter. He’ll be sorely missed.
A part of my childhood just died as I grew up watching Stripes, Ghostbusters, Caddyshack, and most of all, National Lampoon’s Vacation as they were the touchstones of what I think are the standards of classic American comedies. Jason Reitman is right, it’s like losing one of the Beatles. Ramis was the funny straight guy to Bill Murray’s smart-aleck persona yet what they did together was gold. Especially with Groundhog Day which is another touchstone of great American cinema. He will be missed. Thank you Egon.
What a bummer.
Sad news. I haven’t seen Caddyshack, Groundhog Day and Ghostbusters in years, so I may do that in 2014. I have fond memories of them.
Really does suck. Fun actor and director. RIP
…sad news but he leaves behind a great body of comedy work – many of which are my personal favourites…
