  1. Aaaah… what a sad day!! LOVE Ghostbusters and Groundhog Day, esp. the latter. He’ll be sorely missed.

  2. A part of my childhood just died as I grew up watching Stripes, Ghostbusters, Caddyshack, and most of all, National Lampoon’s Vacation as they were the touchstones of what I think are the standards of classic American comedies. Jason Reitman is right, it’s like losing one of the Beatles. Ramis was the funny straight guy to Bill Murray’s smart-aleck persona yet what they did together was gold. Especially with Groundhog Day which is another touchstone of great American cinema. He will be missed. Thank you Egon.

  3. Sad news. I haven’t seen Caddyshack, Groundhog Day and Ghostbusters in years, so I may do that in 2014. I have fond memories of them.

  4. …sad news but he leaves behind a great body of comedy work – many of which are my personal favourites…
