Scenes from a Cornville Ranch

Arizona

At the beginning of September, I took a trip up to Arizona wine country for a few days to a) do some wine drinking and b) get out of the Phoenix heat.

A) was achieved.
B) barely thanks to a mini heatwave that just so happened to take place the very same days of the trip.

I stayed at an Airbnb in Cornville set in a working ranch with a fair share of wildlife, including peacocks with warnings attached to them.

I think one of my favourite moments from the trip was a solo walk around the ranch with my camera. I think it might be a form of meditation for me.

And here are some images from the walk.

On our doorstep.
Photograph of old farming equipment.
Photograph of green leaves in shade.
Photograph of a peacock in sunlight, under a tree
One of the aforementioned peacock with a warning attached to it.
Photograph of spiderwebs in the sunlight,
Photograph of a peacock in long grass.
There was a mutual distance keeping between us.
I can hear the cicadas just looking at this image. They were deafening.

Had a lovely few days here unwinding and taking in the quiet. (And the wine.) And admiring the more star-studded night sky I have ever seen in my life.
